Beginner help: where to begin [closed]

I want to learn how to program. A main stream programming language such as Java, C++/C# is my primary target.

Currently, I am a high school student planning to take programming, Digital electronics courses next semester.

My biggest problem is that I do not know where to start and I have no one to consult with.

Should I take a course at my local community college this summer? Get some books or try learning from some internet websites?

What would be the best option a book or website?
